when words fail, when mind can’t recall, what remains? landmark illustrates the struggle to grasp onto a place. muffled conversation overhangs like fog, while hands illustrate a desire to place oneself in a landscape just out of focus. i touch the palm of my hand and the mountains sharpen. each touch brings us closer to what we think happened, how we know somewhere.
